What happens in a prospect’s mind when you reach out
- If you cold email or cold DM someone - they’re going to copy your sending domain into the search bar or they’re going to click on your profile.
  - If they click your profile - it should also have a link to your main website.
- The impression a prospect gets on your website will determine whether they reply to you.
- If your landing page is REALLY good, they may even book a call or buy your service without replying.
  - Your landing page can be targeted at making direct sales or booking sales calls. We’ll discuss this later in the outreach strategy module.
How to create a high-converting landing page that works on cold outreach traffic
- Even if you’re B2B, remember you’re not talking to a ‘company’! You’re talking to a person within a company!
  - Proven copywriting techniques work on these individuals, too.
- Using a Homepage vs. Dedicated Landing Page
  - Doesn’t make a huge difference
    - Wherever your sending domains and social profiles redirect to will work.
- Long copy ALWAYS outsells short copy.
  - If people are interested, they will binge-watch shows for 10 hours.
    - Your page cannot be too long—only too boring.
  - People are secretly hoping what you have is new and different. You can make it that way.
